spreekader aufnahmen is a new berlin based label. originally coming from tech house and minimal techno we are also releasing any kind of music we think it is worth hearing so that the essence of spreekader aufnahmen is good music. no matter if it is house, ambient, or any other kind of thrilling sound. we are obsessed with good music and therefore we are hopeless victims of sound. spreekader aufnahmen proudly presents to you >tamtam<. >tamtam< is going to be our first release on spreekader aufnahmen. the release features artists such as schulleri & eiblonski, benno blome, kotelett & zadak and last but not least nico stojan. the original mix brought to you by schulleri & eiblonski (labelowner of spreekader aufnahmen) is what you would call a prime-time happy-go-lucky hit at its best. talking about the remixers, benno blome (sender records) added a fast forward piano that way >tamtam< the track even goes happy-go-funky. kotelett & zadak (golden gate) took their time and made it nice and deep, perfect for every afterhour. finally nico stojan (bar 25) added piano and vocal to his version of >tamtam< and made smooth and sweet.

gabriel ananda was captivated by the sound of classical music by the early age of 8. he was encouraged by his family to practice the cello, but it was through playing the guitar that fueled his motivation to continue to learn about music. the guitar became a useful tool to express his creativity, but gabriel was not finished searching for his musical direction. in 1995 that changed. a dj set by sven väth was the pivotal moment that ended gabriels search to find his passion and two years later, the new producer celebrated his first release for the german label hörspielmusik. he went on to release singles on treibstoff, trapez, platzhirsch, and karmarouge before producing what was for him, a life changing track

dustin zahn with his own interpretation of techno... four proper techno remixes... a bad ass behind the decks, and in the studio since 1998...his productions ended up on some bigger techno labels as well as more obscure imprints. along with ian lehman, he forged the well-received attack people live performance… bringing his show across the us, to south america, and europe as well. when he is not on tour with his dj sets or supercharged live pa sessions, he co-promotes some of minneapoliss biggest techno parties. in addition, he also manages his labels abiotic recordings and enemy records, which both receive wide support from the techno community.

the irish blues-rock multi-instrumentalist rory gallagher recorded quite some solo albums throughout the 1970s and 1980s. music on vinyl already released the lost album >notes from san francisco<(movlp349) in september 2011.
now its time for gallaghers first two albums to get fully remastered and pressed on audiophile 180-grams vinyl. rory gallagher released his eponymous solo debut album in 1971. this album marked the departure from taste, the first band which gallagher founded, and the start of his solo career. gallagher wrote all the songs himself and recorded the album with two befriended belfast musicians.
>deuce< is gallaghers second solo album and was originally released in 1971 as well. in contrast with his previous well-produced album, >deuce< was an effort by to capture the energy of a live performance. in order to do so gallagher would often record immediately before or after live performances while keeping production at a minimum.

an incredible u.s.a.-belgium collaboration between the dirtiest mc juan huevos and phranteek. all started when phranteek was sound engineering a juan live act. he just says >man? i guess you ll like to records some miami bass tracks?<. juan was like >of course!<. at the end of is tour, kick the lyrics on some phranteeks 808 beat. and the magic happened! phranteek says that mr. huevos is a studio beast… and we can feel it.
on b-side, daveluxes dubstep remix is incredibbly fat. we never thought releasing dubstep music, but this is not dubstep… this is deep schizophrene robot sounds highly doped on bootybass music!
winner of octaves de la musique award in 2011, dj elephant power remix sounds like a travel in a futuristic india. while listening to it, you can imagine some elephants in disguise dancing on ghettomusic!

whilst some people claim that the number seven is lucky, some people, like duff, dont believe in luck, or if there is such a thing as luck you make your own. you cant rely on anyone else to hold your hand you know, you gotsta forge your own path, they arent called the mean streets for nothing. duff is the sort of man who not only makes his own luck (cos who else is gonna look after you?) but he keeps an eye on his bredren too. those in the neighbourhood feel safe because all is good in duffs hood, always has been, always will be, the police dont even come there, because they don’t have to, that block is on lock-down brother. though he isnt some type of machismo, over-the-top (hat back go-on sly) caricature, its just the way it is, nuthin to argue about. he has a way about him, the glare of a pitbull and the smile of don juan, dusty is his girl yep thats her real name, the name her mamma gave her on the day she was introduced to this world. the girl is fine thats for sure but what else would you expect from the honey that rides shotgun with the sonic casanova. she might call herself lucky. duff would disagree.

never ones to stand still dons rainbow marks a quantum leap for seahawks, the first release on new label ocean moon and the first recording from the invisible sunrise sessions. invisible sunrise is the forthcoming album from seahawks and the first to be recorded with live musicians rather than a hard drive full of dusty old samples. the results are stunningly original, not least on this track with new york head autre ne veut. anvs debut album last year on olde english spelling bee was an incredible rush of warped r&b, 80s synths, amazing songs and what has to be one of the most innovative voices to emerge in the last 5 years. since then hes released a great ep on hippos in tanks, played some mind bending live shows and guested on the ford & lopatin album. dons rainbow sounds like michael mcdonalds sweet freedom crossed with nite flight era walker brothers. a fantastic piece of hazy avant pop with jan hammer pulse wave synths, yah mo b there drums and fuzz drenched spirals of soprano sax and guitar colliding with the sound of soul from outer space. on the flip the dub takes the track into a world of shadows, where smeared washes of sound swim in an ocean of decay. as always with seahawks releases the packaging is beautiful. heavyweight vinyl in a full colour sleeve, with full colour labels. the last seahawks release sold out in days, we expect this one to do the same, so get your skates on!

the dirty dutch! anticlub a notorious collective from eindhoven, the southern capital of holland, was inspired to push itself into a new direction. the inspiration came from a painting by an old lady that drew the attention and gave the impulse to create the album freaks and followers. as the title suggests there are two kinds of people, people who take risks and people who do not. as anticlub used to be a risk-taker but slowly settled in an unwanted comfort zone, this created dissatisfaction and led to a creative standstill. seeing the painting everything became clear again. one should not stand still but keep moving and evolve oneself into new areas that one has not yet explored creatively. as lessismore is from the same dutch city, this state of mind also hit the lessismore label, which inevitable resulted in both parties joining forces to release this diverse album by a former underground techno crew called anticlub. as the lessismore label is known for its typically styled techno, lessismore was searching for a new impulse sound wise and visually, to ensure creative satisfaction in the years to come. with this album everything came together and the lessismore crew reunited to renew their input into the label, which was once founded to be a creative platform and an artistic journey and in retrospective clearly not a platform where one should repeat itself time after time. freaks and followers is an 8 track album with raw electronic based music combined with a variety of vocal work by different new anticlub members. the overall feel of the album is a dark punky attitude that reminds of the good old days of rave, which in the early nineties dominated the dutch club and party scene. this period can be defined as being careless and not taking credibility into account, trying new things, being blunt and just partying your hart out. being older this is a feeling that will never have to die, proved by the old lady whose painting was used as the art-work of the album release.

its fair to say that sammy gossens aka sierra sam is one of the rare and victorious butterflies of the electronic world. over the last 15 years not only has sierra sam released his own works on esteemed imprints such as supplement facts, time has changed, einmaleins musik and many more, but his impeccable engineering skills are in demand worldwide, co-producing with artists such as bloody mary for dame music and surburban knight for ur and peacefrog. not enough to suffice his creative torrent, sierra sam runs the highly successful toys for boys imprint alongside marcus vector and was label manager for jay haze’s tuning spork and contexterrior labels.

again a surprising but quality release on the never dull fine art recordings. new promising artist the k system delivers some experimental dubstep not dubstep electronics reminding of early rephlex stuff from the early nineties. very interesting stuff. final release of fine art recordings!

after conforces tight album release on delsin and other concept projects he did he/we went wild with this one and selected some tracks we just want to play out loud in a club from vinyl (incl. a killer remix by gesloten cirkel for the title track). at first sight these tracks dont have much in common... and probably still not for the second listen, but we didnt really bother for this one. it will be a standard in our dj box for the coming months with 4 tracks that all have a bit of a different groove and a different mood. grain, be there at night, 24 and 24 remixed by gesloten cirkel. this is probably as versatile as a clone basement release can get.

jean wells story is not an extraordinary one in the world of soul, although her voice certainly was. her biggest hit >have a little mercy< from 1967 was a glorious slice of deep soul, a plea to a lover, whom she is addicted to, but who doesn t seem to notice. her gospel-trained voice perfectly encapsulating those feelings, whilst a stark arrangement dominated by an ethereal organ and dramatic horn stabs heightens the unbearable effect this man is having on jeans life. yet at the time this record only reached number 25 in the r&b charts, just another bit of genius amongst many, thrown out by the black american music industry at one of its most creative and profligate periods.
jean left us with a fantastic recorded legacy, of which her recordings for clyde otis, which are gathered here, are the choicest cuts.
